Diamond Jubilee Walks

For the Diamond Jubilee the Parish Walking & Wildlife Group produced a leaflet describing two walks in Wrestlingworth
and Cockayne Hatley. The leaflet includes a map of each walk and notes on points of interest. The leaflet can

Long Walks

For walkers who prefer a whole day out, we will be describing a number of long walks which can be made around Wrestlingworth.

Southern Circuit

A 17 mile walk taking in Shingay, Abington Pigotts, Steeple Morden & Dunton.

Circuit to the South West

A 19 mile walk to Ashwell via Tadlow, Guilden Morden & Steeple Morden, returning via Hinxworth & Dunton.

Circuit to the North West

This route is a 19.7 mile circuit starting and finishing at the Chequers, taking in Gamlingay, Tetworth, Abbotsley, Waresley Wood and Hatley St George.

Monthly Walks

We organise a wide variety of walks on the third Sunday of each month. Some have a theme, e.g. wild flowers
or fungi, others are simply intended to introduce people to new routes they may not have tried before. Our shortest
walks are around 4 miles, the longest around 12 miles. We usually aim to finish at lunchtime at a convenient hostelry,
normally The Chequers in Wrestlingworth.

Wrestlingworth & Cockayne Hatley loop - 6 miles

The Morden's - 5.75 miles

Willington and Gt. Bardford circuit - 6.6 miles

Biggleswade/Sandy River Ivel walk - 6.2 miles

Potton/Deepdale circuit - 4.3 miles

Wrestlingworth to Sutton loop - 7.1 miles
We did it the opposite way around, stopping at the John O'Gaunt in Sutton.

Wrestingworth to Tadlow loop, along the "sheep walk". - 4.8 miles

Croydon to East Hatley to Clopton loop - 6 miles

Hook's Mill and back - 5.1 miles

Dunton and back - 7.1 miles

Old Warden - 7.9 miles

Three Hatleys Walk - 9.4 miles

Manor Farm Circuit - 3.4 miles
